Happy New Years ppl!

Happy New Years people! I hope you all had a great holiday this '08. It's time to look a head and forget the past....better yet not forget but just don't let the bad hinder your current and future moves.

As for me, my holiday? Well it was wack, and ill just leave it at that,

I'm abt to get back in the studio to work on the PreKill EP. 9 song project. I plan on going hard and the, T.I.'s, Jay-Z's, Kanye's and T-Wayne's are my comp, not any local emcee's. I'm setting my standards high. I do this for my loved ones. This is my hustle, and this hustle shall be a stepping stone for more and better success for my family and I.

So this shall be a happy new year, as I ask God to take away the bad and replace it with the grace and riches of the Lord. The bad in my life is addicting and I know I should pull away but I'm caught up...or either I need the strength to balance it out and let the Lord guide me. That's what it all comes down at the end of the day.

"So Lord I ask of you to guide me thru this new year, and I thank you for the good and the bad that I've had in my life. Now I'm ready for change, amen"

Kanye West's 808 & Heartbreaks

I'm really feeling this album. I could relate to what he's going through. It's therapy for me when I listen to this shit. If you know me, you know what I'm talking abt. I can't say what's my favorite song on there, but 'Heartless' bangs sick. 'Paraniod' is sick....'Street Lights', 'Bad News', 'Amazing'....Im gonna stop naming them cause I'll be naming the whole album. But if you haven't heard or better yet copped it, you should do yourself a favor and do that.

If you only Listen to Dipset and D Block then this album is not for you. But if you're an individual with self insight and have an open mind, and don't shun experimental artistry then this album is for you. I co-sign it. Who am I? Yea...I know...but I co-sign it. So go get your copy.

I was thinking this man should release a deluxe edition with an extra cd of all remixes of the album with all features. That would be some hot shit, like six months from now. He said he's was gonna drag this album out for a while. That'll be some hot shit right there. For more Kanye, go to www.kanyeuniversecity.com

Peace world.
Tell me what you think, comment back.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?:
The internet deffinately changes the game of music just due to the simple fact that you can work with other artist from around the world in minutes. You can create a song and give it to the world 5 minutes after it was created. My self and this producer from the U.K. teamed up to do some songs for his album that way. King P, Royal Dubz, download on itunes.com. He blessed me with the tracks, "Here We Go Again" & "Best Of You" Featuring Kitt. and we plan on working on an album together also in the near future

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?:
I would still sign with a major, so they can use their power to get my name out to the world. They can do that better then I would be able to do at this point in my life.

Artist History:
Justin Mills, the emcee, actor, writer, performer, and entertainer come from the streets of Connecticut. New Haven born, and Danbury raised. Serving as an outlet and a way to stay out of trouble, Mills found that writing and performing his raps could one day, place him in a wonderful situation, and out of the poverty stricken life he was accustomed to. Formulating his first rap lyrics in the fourth grade for a girl he admired, he never lost hope and continued to strive for perfection in his newly found craft. Justin Mills is hitting the east coast streets with one of his most important projects to date. “Black Storm Records Presents: Justin Mills Vol. 1, “The Jealousy Mixtape”. The mixtape captures his versatility, wordplay, storytelling, humor, and raw emotional exploits. The mixtape is a compilation of industry and original production. Distributing over 1000's of cds, it has also become a very successful promotional tool for the rising artist to extend his musical talent to A&Rs, managers, talent agents, and others in a position to advance his career. None the less, it has definitely allowed him to become familiar to new and prospective fans. He has been performing live since 1996, and even earlier if you count his church plays and musicals. Justin Mills has traveled all over the east coast and has even ventured out to Boise, ID for a NACA {National Association for Campus Activities} convention. This artist does not just portray his talent in music, he has appeared in the independent film, entitled “Tri-State”, adding his music to the film, as well as creating the title track with fellow Emcee Kama-Sutra and producer L.O.B. Adding to his film credentials, you can soon hear Justin Mills on a film called “April Fools”. Justin Mills’ overall goal is to become a major independent, become a household name, and it doesn’t stop there. He is currently in the studio recording and working on the release of his, 'Justin Mills Vol. 2'

For the past few years I was apart of a big family, Rich Stylz Ent, and Fam ent., Concealed Records. Justin Mills Vol. 1 & 2 are products of those times. Tho we are still fam. I'm building my brand, Justin Mills, Black Storm Records. Ill still be working with Fam Ent. and Concealed Records in the future but not limiting myself to.

Smash Unit needs to make a project happen (ya'll already know).

Your influences?:
My music influences range from OutKast, N.W.A., Nas, Jay-Z, RedMan, Timbaland, Pharrell, Snoop, and many other artist in the game. I'm also influenced by Funk, Rock, Alternitive, R&B and House/Techno

Favorite spot?:
My favorite spot has to be the studio when magic is being made. Not that regular session, but that incredible session where artist take risks and create that bomb shit! plus the bed room, where this Artist creates that bomb shit! lol.

Equipment used:
Equipment? I leave that to the studio heads, but I can say Protools.

Anything else...?:
I'm looking to find production that fits my style and artist that are serious to collab with. Also to promote myself, 'Justin Mills' my company 'Black Storm Records', Creating that Brand!
